This year we are delighted to announce a new competition alongside Women’s Engineering Society (WES).
WES and Lottie Dolls have been partnering for the past seven years. Working together on showcasing amazing women working in STEM (Sciece Technology Engineering & Maths). Helping normailise the presence of women in engineering environments for a younger generation. Highlighting career options and showing girls if they can see it they can be it.
Children learn about the world by playing, and what do children like to play with most? Toys, of course! STEM toys are designed to be educational, and many of them teach children specific skills that translate to a knowledge of the real world.
Each year during Tomorrow's Engineer Week #TEWeek22 (November 7th - 11th) Lottie Dolls partner with WES. The aim of the campaign is to highlight the many different career options that are available to women in particular in Engineering. McLaren F1 sponsor the campaign, and over 200 members bring Lottie to work for the week and photograph the activities they perform during a normal week. The images are then shared on social media using the hashtag #WESLottieTour.
This new competition consists of children finding recyclable materials around their home for the “Imagine the Future Design Competition” with two different age group categories, 4-12 and 13+. The winning design will be made into a real wooden building with the winners credited on the packaging and each winner will receive a doll of their choice.
