April is an exciting time of year for both parents and kids alike. With the warmer weather and blooming flowers, it’s the perfect time to get outside and explore. But as parents, we also want to ensure our preschoolers are engaging in educational activities that keep their minds active and growing.
That’s why we at Lottie Dolls have put together a list of fun and learning activities for preschoolers this April. From arts and crafts projects to outdoor adventures, here are some of our favorite april activities for preschoolers:
1. Create a Nature Scavenger Hunt: Take your preschoolers outside and challenge them to find a variety of natural items such as rocks, leaves, and flowers. Encourage them to observe the items carefully, and talk about the shapes, textures, and colors of each item.
2. Plant a Garden: Gardening is a great way to teach your preschoolers about science, nature, and responsibility. Plant flowers, vegetables, or herbs together and watch as their garden grows over the next few months.
3. Make an Apron: Get creative and have your preschoolers make an apron using fabric, ribbons, and other fun materials. They’ll love getting to choose the colors and designs and wearing their apron when it’s done.
4. Have a Bird Watching Adventure: Go outside and look for birds in your backyard or local park. Look for different types of birds and learn about the different sounds they make.
5. Have an Art Show: Gather all of your child’s artwork over the past few months and host an art show in your home. Invite friends and family to come and admire the artwork and have your preschooler explain the pieces.
6. Play with Playdough: Playdough is a great way to let your preschoolers get creative and practice their fine motor skills. You can make your own playdough with simple kitchen ingredients or buy a store-bought version.
7. Have a Picnic: Gather some of your favorite snacks and head out to the park for a picnic. Let your preschoolers help pack the picnic basket and choose some snacks for the outing.
8. Have a Dance Party: Put on some of your preschooler’s favorite songs and have a dance party in your living room. They’ll love getting to move and groove to the music.
These are just a few of the many
april activities for preschoolers that you can enjoy with your family this April. So get outside, get creative, and enjoy some quality time with your little ones.
