Lottie is acknowledging all of the great women and girls who have inspired her today, as we celebrate 2016 International Women's Day #PledgingForParity 

"Everyone - men and women - can pledge to take a concrete step to help achieve gender parity more quickly - whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias. Each of us can be a leader within our own spheres of influence and commit to take pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity.

Making gender equality a reality by taking action is the priority on #IWD2016 

Lottie celebrates the achievements of great girls and women globally and historically, and this International Women's Day is particularly special for Lottie - as in recent months Stargazer Lottie broke the mould and inspired new generations of astronomers, becoming the first doll in space! 

Stargazer Lottie is one of the Gold Collection STEM Lottie Dolls; which was not only designed by a real six-year-old girl, technically advised by a British astronomer Dr Karen Masters and a collaboration with the ESA - but, Stargazer Lottie also works to celebrate notable women in astronomy. 

Another of our STEM real-girl inspired Lottie's dolls launched in the last year is Fossil Hunter Lottie, also inspired by a real girl, and was a collaboration with a remarkable group of international women in STEM - women in archaeology, geology, and palaeontology; Trowelblazers! 

These fulfilling partnerships and collaborations were pioneered by our own Lottie Dolls Creative Director, Lucie Follett.

Lottie loves to champion all of the amazing, smart, and accomplished women and girls out there and support and encourage the advancement of girls in the sciences and beyond!
